Write for us

Lively News Journal welcomes clear, original pitches about choosing, beginning and making room for leisure activities. A useful proposal starts with a specific reader question and offers an angle that does not turn enjoyment into a performance target.

What to pitch

We are interested in considered comparisons, explanations of how a pastime works, histories that clarify a present-day choice, and focused pieces about getting started or making time. Keep topics suitable for general readers and avoid claims that depend on invented experience, specialist authority or unsafe instructions.

What makes a strong proposal

Tell us the working idea, the central point, why it matters to our readers and how it differs from familiar advice. Note the likely scope and any sources or expertise the piece would need. A narrow, well-defined question is more useful than a broad list of possible subjects.

How to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page, choosing the editorial question option and including your pitch in the message. Please do not send a complete article unless requested; a proposal is enough for an initial conversation.
